Studio Friday Challenge: Collections

I like tea, so teacups go hand and hand. My mother has given me most of my collection (not all seen here) some from her mother so they mean alot to me.
Thanks for looking.

  1. Tea cups are so beautiful. I always find myself drawn to them when we are antiquing. My mother has a collection of about 20 or so. Most are from her Mother's aunt Dorothy. My favourite one is a pretty golden yellow with purple iris flowers on it!
I am enjoying reading everyones blogs and seeing their collections! I hope you have a lovely weekend!!

Tea cups the holders of warmth feelings and soothing thoughts...beautifully done Lee. I love the way you set the nice warm tones of the background and to complete it all...a beautiful poem.
Hope you have a great weekend!

I love teacups too Lee and also have some that came from my mother. It always seems such a shame to me that we don't "do" tea in teacups anymore.

  6. tea cups are such a great thing to collect...something about the gold leaf and delicate painting...and the fact that it's okay to just get one of each kind. these are very pretty.

  7. Oh pretty! I like the one with the yellow flowers a lot. My Mother has many teacups, but all packed away in her attic, unfortunately.

  9. This Layou is perfect. Nice and simple. The colors go perfectly with those sweet tea cups! You were right on with the design and I think you are really fortunate to have such a meaningful collection.

Tea always tastes better when drunk from a teacup instead of a mug I think. You have a lovely collection!

  13. Oh - these teacups are so beautiful! I have a few myself but am afraid to buy too many. Where would I put them all? It is wonderful that your teacups were handed down. That makes them even more special. On really special occassions I do use mine. None of them match but it makes it fun!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful collection! Have a great weekend!
