LAngels has issues to...

I have come to the realization that I am not a portrait painter. Therfore I am developing my own sweet person (she still in process development lol) her name for now is Lou Lou. Lou Lou has some issues that you will be hearing about from time to time. Hope you all had a great weekend. The weather here was outstanding. I got lots of work done on Saturday night on my 25 days of Christmas journal, pictures will come later today. Well I have a dog whinning at my feet for me to get off the computer and play with her. So got to go, talk to you later.

I think we all have our own signature style, and so developing yours is a good thing...I like the sound of Lou Lou and hearing more from her!!!

ps someone saw some pics of mine once and said oh you did that...when I asked how could they tell, they said I had a 'style'
and that everyone had one that said it was their unique work. I wonder why we always try then to copy others and hope to be like them when we have a great style of our own in there somewhere?

  4. Lee -- I thought about this post all day yesterday, something just caught my brain but I couldn't yank it out. Here it is, though (watch it!): you say you're not a portrait painter. But I'm looking at a portrait on this post. So maybe what you mean is you're not a portrait painter like ______ or _______ or ______, which is what you'd prefer, or which is what inspires you. But you ARE, nonetheless, a portrait painter. And Lou Lou? -- gah, she's darling, she's REAL, she's totally different from all the portraits and girls and women and characters I've seen, which is so refreshing (for me anyway) ... maybe by embracing Lou Lou and letting her be LOU LOU and not like anything or anyone else, you'll truly be able to express the things Lou Lou has come to express, through you -- & to reach even MORE women who are hoping for a less ethereal kind of painted woman and one who feels like a person who'd spend time at our kitchen table.
