A Lightbulb Moment

I have been reading Danny Gregory An Illustrated Life. I love it. I used to sketch all the time and somehow got out of the habit and I have now decided to go back to it. Here is a quick 2 minute sketch that I did. I did not allow myself to fix anything I just sketched and had to be happy with the way it turned out.

  1. I have that book, too but I haven't read it yet. I want to do more sketching this year....just like you did. It must feel so freeing to not have to worry about whether you made this line to dark or that space too small, etc. It's almost like drawing as a kid draws....without any hesitation or judgement. I love it!!

PS - I don't mean that your drawing is childlike! I was referring to the process.

I really like this - and I like what Janet said about no hesitation or judgement. It's great - otherwise it would be too stressful to enjoy. I have long since let go and let my journals reflect the chaos that is my life. I just joined the Creative Every Day 2009 - hope it will motivate me to make creativity a more regular habbit.
