The days of summer are whizing by me....I love summer, and out summer is way to short. My best buds and I are going on out annual girls 4 day escape. This year it is beautiful Victoria, hotel right on the waterfront.and fun fun fun, September 18. Today I again started a doodle which evolved into this, birds are really not my strong suit, this bird I notice everyone makes....so I kinda copied the style....but I like it, the poem is mine....I like to make up short quirky poems.....if you cant read it...it says

I ate an apple high up in a tree
And what to my surprise should I see
A pink poka dot bird trying to catch a honey bee

I am a pisces, I was doodling in my journal well talking on the phone and this evolved. And I do love the water so I am the right sign.

I have been playing around in photoshop lately trying to teach myself the program. As you can see from this photo I need much more practice. Actually I did this on purpose and coloured it with felt pens. Both these girls are out of town for awhile so I am safe until they come back.

open to new possibilities

well on my blog break, I have been opening myself up to new possibilities. I have embraced new techniques, gone back to the old tried and true methods, have practiced drawing each and every day. For I believe that by drawing each day you become a better artist. Even if it is on a paper napkin well out enjoying myself I create something, nothing to show, some would not call it art but it is something I have created. In taking a break from my blog I have stepped back and taken note that I was not enjoying my blog anymore I felt I had to create in order for people to read my blog.....when I first started out my blog I did not care if anyone read it. It was a way for me to be creative because I felt I was stifled creativly. So I am going back to the way I orginally wanted my blog to be, I am not going to feel that I have to create daily so I can put it on my blog. Sometimes there will be pictures I have taken, a drawing on a napkin, a photograph that has inspired me etc. My desire is to create amazing things at my pace........I did not take this picture and forgot where I got it, but I love it and plan on making it a stencil....

Image Transfer Part One

Well here I am again, I have been playing around with Image Transfers, on paper and canvas, wood etc. I like the way they turn out. Just a photocopy and a little gesso. This one still has some of the paper on, I have not finished with it. Plus it needs some texture etc. Try it, you will be surprised. This is my dad about 19 years old in the navy.

Life Plan....

a>Well the summer is flying by and I am loving it....I have been experimenting with stenicls, paint, colour, texture. Been spending quality time with my daughter one more year of college and she will be done and moving on according to her. Looking after Sofie the dog. I also have been thinking about my life and I have decided I need a life plan. A plan with all the things in that I want to accomplish in my life, (like a bucket list) so I have been working on that. I had a health scare a week ago and after that I decided I needed to do this. So many things in my life I want to accomplish, even if it is impossible I am putting it on list......whats your life plan. Still taking a break from blogging reguarly until September but I still check all my favourites.

Back for a minute....

Well I am missing blogging, but loving the time that I am having. Have got the computer fixed, and a tuenup and is running smoothly again. Have created some amazing backgrounds on canvas, which I will upload once I have finished. Have read a few amazing books, created a few cards. Have been able to surf the net. I had been feeling like I had pressure to create. I know I dont but I pressure myself. So that is way I am taking a break, just creating when the mood strikes. It must be the weather, I love summer, and my creativity is at an all time low...but it is coming back. Still on my break but blogging when I can. This cool guy is my Dad, I think he was about 15.
