Lethbridge - The house you grew up in

This is my friend ML house in Lethbridge she grew up in this house, and on our way to Great Falls we stopped by the house and took some pictures, both parents have passed away and so it was a little sad for her to remember . But the house had not changed much and we went around the backalley and the yard was great. Well have not been doing to much since I have been off work, just laying around and relaxing, and I feel a little better. Well the weather here has been cold and rainy , but we are in for a good day tommorw. I am going in the morning to Scrapfest a convention for scrapbookers, I am not registered, but I am going to the trade show, I am so excited.... Then home for the afternooon, that should be enough for me. Well talk to you tommorw and I will let you know how everything was, maybe I can take some photos. ....

Canvas Album complete.....

The picture does not do the album justice, it turned out really well, nice colour, pictures went well, there is a mini album inside the vertical picture. I loved making it, went by fast and I have fun. Well I am off work for a couple of weeks, the doctor recommended it, I am run down and I need to rest and renew. So that is exactly what I am going to do, I have just been feeling crappy lately. They were very nice about it at work. Just a short post today, but wanted to show you the album. Back from the trip and ready to blog...

This little picture was taken in Vulcan, Alberta where they have a tribute to all things Enterprise, now a little tidbit about me, I like the TV show Enterprise, Star Trek etc. So on the trip we made a little stop, took a bunch of stupid pictures of me, with vulcan ears, etc which will never make on this blog, but we had a blast. I also got a tshirt, can't leave there without a tshirt. Well we got back Sunday around 7:00 tired and glad to be home, a long ride home, but we did have a great time, bought alot of clothes, drank, etc and generally just talked and talked, we never run out of things to say to each other. Our friend Lois even bought a Lawn Mower, now I know you saying could she not get that at home cheaper. Nope, this girl knows her lawnmowers and she got a great deal, so she was happy, we were loaded to the rafters , the border did not give us to much trouble, we of course had to pay duty over a 100 each just about, so that gives you a good idea of how much stuff we bought. We all bought this pain relieve medicine called Alieve , but we had to give it up at the border, who knew it was a banned substance in Canada. Well its back into the groove, work and ironing. Tommorow night I go to my
Canvas glass to do my project, which I will bring home photograph and post on my blog, I am really excited. Went to Walmart tonight to get the final pictures and I am ready. Well enough of my excitement, I know you all can hardly contain yourselves, I am going to hit the hay, I am trying my best to get to bed early. Talk to you tommorow.

It's beginning to feel like fall when the

Fall arrangement comes out and the summer one goes into storage. I got these new vase at Michaels on sale for 7.00 it looks like it is really heavy, but light as a feather. Well tommorow night I am off for the trip with the girls, so will not be blogging until Sunday night, so stay tuned for pictures of the trip. I am looking forward to going with my pals, lots of laughs, shopping and just chilling. I need to do that, I am quite tired and I need some new life injected into these tired bones. Well the job did not last to long for the daughter, she is quitting on Friday night, they were not giving her the hours they promised nor the money. She got another job at the Olive Garden for way more money, she needs to save that money for University (half at least)which both hubby and I decided. If we paid it all what would she have to work for.... Well enough philosphy 101 for tonight, I have a ton of stuff to do to get ready for tommorow, packing etc. So I will say goodnight and talk to you on Sunday I should have plenty to say....

what kind of super shopper am I... Those are art pens my friends, I have been looking for these for ages, but way out of my price range, I tried each and every one of them and they work, brand new photo magzs, paint etc. I bought the pens at a thrift shop for $2.00 I was in looking for frames, and I stumbled across them, was I excited or what, thought to myself even if a couple work its worth 2 bucks, but bonus they all work...Well today I took half a day off did some shopping, went out for mussels with my mother for dinner, hubby went to a football game, more shopping and now home just watching fashion rocks on tv and blogging. Got to get the presents for the girls made this weekend that is the goal, gotta to get the some pictures at walmart developed and that is it. Well I know you riveted to this blog with all this exciting information but I am going to go now and I will talk to you tomorrow.

A masterpiece in progress..

Yep, this is what the studio looks like when I am creating, ususally much worse, I think I was in the process of cleaning up when I took this picture. Well a week today I am off on my trip to Great Falls with the gals, am counting the days, just chilling, shopping, and just having a blast. The weather is great here, my daughter got a job for the next year, (when she starts college is taking a year off to work) hubby had a job interview (even when he wasnt looking for a new job) the stars must all be aligned. I am working on the project for the trip, so cant really say to much about it, as the gals read the blog. Work is work, and the sun is still out and shining, all and all a great day. We have no water at present, there was a water break and the water has been off since this morning, so if it is not on in the morning, I am off to the Motherin Laws for a shower.... Cant go to work without a shower....Well gotta go talk to you tommorrow, pray for the water to come back on....

Cruising on a Monday afternoon.....

Yep, thats my friend and me, today we just hung out together, coffee, shopping, it was a beautful day, and had the top down in her car. We had a blast today, I need to make more time for my friends. I wanted to tell about her, she is a very talented jewerly designer, I will have a link to her website soon. Her designs are to die for.... Well were off to the Olive Garden to celebrate our belated aniversary and i am looking forward to it. To nice to do any art today, just thinking, sketching and soaking up some sun.....Talk to you tomorrow. A new bag.....

Well today in the paper they had a 50% coupon good for the long weekend, so off I went to Michaels determined to buy this bag and get 50% off, but alas it was on sale for 33% off they put all there stuff on sale, so you cant use that 50% per, but I am going again Today (Sunday) and looking for something else. I did buy the bag, but you know I could have bought this same bag for 40% off last week, I had that coupon but did not. Now how smart am I!!!!!! Well I was going to the horse races today but it did not work out, so I am going today (sunday) i do like the ponies, never win but still like going. Well as you can see I am up late tonight, working in the studio, making a mess, cleaning up and just chilling. Watched some stupid movie called the Matador (skip it if your going to rent it). 2006 Remix

Here is my latest work of art, its about what you have lost and realize it to late. I just finished it, the studio is a mess so it needs a little clean up. The next thing to focus on is the gifts for the girls for the trip. Today I was home I was not feeling to good the past couple of days and needed to stay home and recoup and renew, and I do feel better now. We are going to watch the Matador in a few minutes so this blog will be short, plus it is the long weekend . Our anniversary was yesterday, I was down for the count not feeling great, but we had pizza, and are going out on Sunday night with the family for dinner. So something to look forward to. Watch Rock Star Super Nova tonight.

This is who I want to win, not only is he Canadian but he really can sing. I have always loved music all kinds of music, i think Art and Music go together both creative. I love this show, what talent. If you look past Tommy Lee and his antics it is very interesting tonight at 9:00. Well did not post last night early to bed, I have a killer sore throat today and my sinus are acting up, I quess I am getting a summer cold. Because soon summer is over and here comes fall, usually around here we get snow by October 31, 2006 so I quess we better enjoy the rest of summer and fall. I am posting early because I am going down to the studio to work and while I am working I will watch my show. I am working on piece called REMIX - its a message about the 1970 to today... A secret glimpse....

Something is going on with these walls. I am trying to par down and clean off the board, but everytime I go to take something down, I find something else to put up there. Well today is Monday and I got the monday blues but soon will be the long weekend Labour Day and I am looking forward to that. Daughter and I are off to Future Shop to take her MP3 player back, thrid one, lucky I bought warranty on it, they just dont last those little things. Then its donw to the studio i am working on a piece about the 70's I got this cool flyer in the paper from the local ballet company (it had Joni Mitchell big yellow taxi on it) that is going in the art piece. I have been researching the 70's after all I hate to date myself but that was my era....... Well should go talk to you tommorow.... Oh can you beleive it, that sicko didnt kill that little girl Jon Benet, i knew it didnt, maybe he just needed a ride home... I hope they throw the book at him....

Yep that right, I got that and sign, and I love it. Guess how much 1.00 can you believe, my hubbys quote (you got taken) he does not understand the whole & sign. I love it, Winners had it on sale (in red for 12.00) and I found one not there for 1.00. The cabinet I got from my mom, i should have opened it, it is holding all my stamps and some paints.This little beauty I got at the goodwill store for 1.99 i think it is suppose to hold spices but it holds some of my paints. Well today I cleaned up the studio, took some photos we went out for breakfast, and lazed around the day today. So i am off to bed work tommorw, talk to you then....

I saw the movie World Trade Centre...

I went to the movie last week with my daughter and mother, it was very good, Nicolas Cage i am not a fan of but it was not all about him, it was very realistic and you really thought about how it touched not just the people in the building but there family as well. Well its still working pictures are posting. I was going to take a great picture today but got busy and forgot. We are going to watch a movie tonight with Harrison Ford in it, i cant remember what it is called as soon as the football game is over. The Great Falls trip is coming together, the plan is set and I am making the reservations. I am getting so excited..... I love go with my girlfriends away we have a blast. Well today was great nice weather and did not do to much, just did what I wanted to do, I love those days. Well I hear the game is just about over, so will talk to you tomorrow I think with another snap of the studio, with some new items that I have put in it.

Thank the gods at blogger I can post pictures now from home. Today was a great day...I woke up and felt like taking a vacation, so that just what I did. I did the dont do anything but relax and go to the casino day, did I spend a bundle no. Actually my mother spent her money and I just watched (she won quite alot) so I was happy for her. I just cant justify spending my money and losing it, when I could be buying myself something I want. Other than that it was also a no cooking day (pizza) and a create something day in the studio, just wanted to keep the creative juices flowing, just a little something from my studio, to go into my everyday ramblings album. Well I so excited that I can post pictures I might not sleep (ha ha). Well should go talk to you and tomorrow...

I like you to meet Freddy a member of the family...

Yep old freddy been with us almost 18 years, I found him yesterday in a wooden box, where I was saving stuff for Lyndsey, I decided whenever she gets married (in years to come) he will be there to take a turn around the dance floor. I remember she could not go anywhere without him, and the times we thought we had lost him, well you would have thought someone was killed. He has had many washes and been sewed many times. Isnt it funny what kids get attached to. Well dinner tonight was great, good company, we talked about the trip details and getting more excited as the days go on. Well again tomorrow is Friday another week is past, the time seems to fly by. Well in keeping with my philospy of trying to go to bed early, i will now sign off and talk to you tomorrow...

Inspiration comes in all sorts of ways.....

Yep this came in the mail yesterday and the colours just jumped out at me and I said wow, that is when my mind races and comes on up something. That is how I find my inspiration. Well it was a funny day today, kinda nice, kinda cloudy, some rain, after work it felt like fall. I am home alone a rare occurence in this hse, hubby is out for a work function, the daughter is out with her girlfiriends, and I am waiting for Super Nova to come on. I love that show, honestly I thought I might be to old to watch it, but I love it, at work we all watch it and talk about who is going to win, am I pulling for the Canadian no, I am pulling for the girl with all the tattoos, she is a great singer and could fit right in with that band. Tommy Lee does disgust me, god who does he think he is with that skinny chest do up your shirt or get some muscles. Now you know how I feel about that. Well in keeping with my getting to bed early, no not now, but SuperNova comes on I think at 9:00 god i hope its not 10.00 I am off to make my lunch and just have a caffeine free diet coke. I am off to Montans restaurant tommorw night with my girlfriends for dinner tommorw night, to will keep you update on how the restaurant is, I have been before and quite liked it. Yes I am finally writing, I posted the picture, but did not have time to write anything. You know the life of a mother, worker, artist, there never seems to be enough time to do anything. A deserted island (with no critters) me and nothing to do sounds good. This is the newphew truthfully he much more goodlooking in person, but he did like the picture. Well I am working on a new piece i am just about finished it, not my usual style very little art, very girls with pinks, when it is done I will post it, got to print a picture and a few more details. It came together to quickly and then I sit there and think, I must have to add more. We are in for a storm tonight, it has been to hot all day long. Today in the mail I got a flyer from Winners and it totally inspired me, the colours the way the pictures were place and the wording, i am going to make a layout out of that, I will post it tommorw for you to see, if you cant inspiration from that. No pictures today....

Well i was just reading blogger help and it seems I am not the only one having difficulties with uploading pictures. Well its Sunday and was just watching a movie call Bend it Like Beckham about soccer, does anyone in this family watch soccer no, but I liked the movie. Went to the birthday party and I cant even belive I forgot my camera. I was in hurry running late. Well he liked the picture and it made my day, actually everyone liked it. So it seems it was well worth the effort. Tonight I was down in the studio painting a picture frame (small box like a shadow box) it is going to be a christams present. It is never to early to start Christmas shopping, my sister also starts early. Then when it comes, there is no stress. Here I am talking about christmas and its not even the end of August Its mine and hubbys anniversary on the 31 of August we will have been married 34 years. Yes I was a young bride, no I would not want my daughter to marry that young. Speaking of her she is out with her boyfriend of apparently one year tonight, and they are having a special date I guess with all the trimmings. God it would be nice to be young again. Well I should hit the road, I am going to try to go to bed early, I tend to go way to late, and am exhausted in the morning, not to bright eyed at work till at least 11>00. I have finished the top secret project, I could not say much because its for my newphew and he reads my blog, but he is at a wedding today (it;s his birthday) I did one of my freestyle pictures for him and framed and matted it, actually looks very good. He is getting it tomorrow, his Grandmother is having a little party for him, so I will give it to him then, of course my camera is going with me. Went to Michaels to look for a frame, had to buy a bigger one than I wanted, but bought some leather like paper and matted it with that, will take a picture of the [picture\ framed. Other than that errands all day today, some with my Mother getting her used to the city, and showing her places she could go on the bus. She has been a couple of places on the bus, which is good, she needs to fill independent, I made her business cards (not for business) but put her name and address and phone number and contact numbers on it, just in case while she is out something happens. Well we are having friends over for a movie and dinner (steak tonight on the BBQ) the movie Annapolis so have to go get everything ready. Talk to you tomorrow. Planning a Trip....

Yep your right, the girls and I are going on a road trip. Our annual trip away for 5 days, this time its Great Falls Montana. We are getting excited, the plan is coming together. We all have a blast when we go away, lets see where have we been, we have been to Banff, Canada, a cabin on a lake, now Great Falls, who knows where next year, I vote for Vegas. Well its the weekend, and its looks like we are going to have a thunderstorm, hubby is out cutting the grass. Well I am off to the studio to get some overdue work done, and the daughter as usual has plans. Now still cant get the pictures to upload had to do this one at work, emailed the help desk at blogger and they were no help, so still working on it. Well talk to you tommorw....We are having friends over for dinner and a movie, Annapolis, heard it was good will have to wait till Sunday to hear the review.....

This is how I am feeling today.....

Well It seems i can post at work a picture but not from my house, still working on this problem. I will post pictures from work until this is resolved. I upgraded to a new version of blogger, thought that might solve the problem but to no success. Oh have not posted in a few days working on the problem. This is exactly how I feel today, stressed out and a mess. Dont you ever have those days, I am sure I am not the only one, but the bright side is I am sure I will be much better tomorrow as it if Friday. Am working in my studio on a top secret project wont be able to release it till Monday as it is for Sunday. But I am very happy with the results. [problems with blogger

encountering problems with blogger uploading pictures. Still working on it, they did maintenace and now I cant upload any pictures, I am sure I will get this figured out soon. Without pictures it seems more boring than usual. So am going to work on it again to see if i can get some to upload. Talk to you tomorrow....

To Blog or not to Blog that is the question...

Men do cook here the proof, my daughters friend was making breakfast for us a couple of Sundays ago and it turned out very well. I have been debating all weekend if I should continue on with this blog. I feel like I blather on like a fool with really not much to say. But the decision I came to was I am continuing (applause please) I really didnt expect alot of people to read what I had to say, and way more that I havd expected 2000 and couting have. Whether they are just passing through or stay and read they have come. I am writing this for me, a type of journal with pictures and sometimes people read it sometimes not. I have a place to show my art without criticism (which I like), While I have decided to give up on the dress piece, it just is not coming together I have put it to the side and moving on. Speaking of I have signed up for a class at my favorite scrapbooking class to make this canvas book, made out of art canvases, with your own black and white photos, it looks so totaly great. When I am done I of course will show it off on the blog. First time I have signed out for a scrapbooking class and am excited (i am stepping out in the world) I got the Dixie chicks new CD I love it, you got to get it their sound has not changed maybe a bit more bluesy but still great. Well you know it, Sunday night, all quiet in my house, hubby went to bed, the daughter out for coffee with friends, and me still have to make my lunch. So will talk to you all again tomorrow.....

Thursday then Friday...

Well its thursday and I am so glad tomorrow is Friday, its raining right now, I hope the weather gets better for the weekend. I have posted a picture of my street due to the fact I dont have anything else today to post. So all i am going to say is dont read anymore, and I talk to you tommorw.

My Thoughts for the day....

I have been thinking about my life lately. I have had a pretty bad eight months, full of tragedy and sadness. I think I am finally turning the corner and life seems just a bit brighter to me. I have been thinking of what makes me happy (besides my family) and trying to find more of what makes me happy. I know a few things that make me happy, creating art just for me bad or good, hanging out with my friends, getting a great book and just reading, taking a great photograph, just sitting back and relaxing without rushing around trying to get everything in my life organized. I need to take more moments for myself and just sit back and breathe and relax. Life is to short to be in a rush, you need to find that point in your life where you just say that's it I am doing this for me and nobody else and you know what that is not selfish that is looking after your self. Now this picture is of my office (or cubby) not my house is not messy (just my desk on a Monday morning after the long weekend, to much work and to little time). I have few things on my desk that make me happy, the diet coke can, some Altoid mints (just when I need a kick) a Scrapbook Fest brochure. So just those little things on my desk make me happy. God I am sappy tonight. What makes you happy, I really would like to know, I dare you to email me back and tell me. Well getting ready to watch my favourite show of the season, Supernova. Shorter Nights....

You know once August hits, it feels like summer is over, the temp are high but not as hot, the nights are getting shorter, and pretty soon the dew will be on the cars in the morning. I know we still have plenty of August left, but I love summer and am not looking forward to Fall. This long weekend was amazing, great weather, did not do to much, just hung out, cleaned the studio, BBQ, sat on the deck, did a bit of shopping. The daughter got home yesterday, had a great time and is now looking forward to another holiday, what about work..... I say.... She is taking a year of school, to save some money, have a break and just generally chill. The picture I have posted was taken in New Westminister on a road that my brother inlaw takes to work everyday. I wish I had such a nice peacfull road to go to work on everyday. Yes the weekend is over and its back to the old salt mines tommorrow, we are crazy busy at work, and have been putting in extra time. Oh well, I like the money. Well I best get my lunch made and hit the hay, so talk to you tommorw.

The long weekend. everyday ramblings

Not a very catchy title but good for today, yes I am posting early, wanted to get some stuff done tonight. The long weekend is here, and the weather is good. We are bbq tonight and just hanging out, not doing to much just enjoying the weather. There might be a football game on I am not sure. The daughter gets back tomorrow night, how good of a mother am I , I thought it was Tuesday. Well I did manage to get this piece done just awhile ago, I felt the urge to create. I was out most of the day, my favourite store had a one day sale on 60% off the sale stuff, so you know where I was. Well must go talk to you tomorrow.

Would I sell my soul to have this......

Yes I would, I long to have this camera. Will it change my life, I am sure it would, the pictures I take with it would certainly win me some national award. This is what I tell myself to justify the cost of this baby. Truthfully it would not make my a better photographer, but I really beleive I could get better pictures. But for now I will make due with my Sony and truthfully I am very happy with it. I know your thinking god is that all she has to write about, but really how boring is my life. It;s already August where is the time going and what have I done all summer long. When you live in a cold climate for most of the year, you gotta make time in the Summer and enjoy it, so that is what I am going to do this long weekend. Just sit back and emjoy the weekend, maybe take in a Festive that I have never been to before, have a couple of coolers on the deck, read art magazines and sleep in. So enough of this, I am sure lyou have completly lost interst by now, so talk to you tomorrow.

Sometimes you just need your friends....

Today was one of them, I have a really crappy day and my 3 closest friends were there for me, making me feel better and boosting my ego, just when I needed it. I think we all need those kind of friends and your very lucky if you find them, so girls if you are reading this I thank you for being my friends. Well enough musy stuff for today, in honor of my pals I made this little arty piece that goes into Everyday Ramblings. Well as you can see I am posting near midnight so I have to get up at 6:00 tomorrow so I should hit the hay (boy am I showing my age with those sayings). End of the weekend....

Well this is the last picture of my mother and her place I am going to post, first I think you all have heard enough about my mother, you are gonna begin to look I have a mother fixation. Well this is a picture of her place the living area, and that is all your going to see. She is happy there and that is it... Well today is raining and is kinda of a gloomy day kinda of the way I feel today. I have started a scrapbooking piece (the dress, the store the girl) tenative title. I am sketching the dress now and getting all the pieces together, you might see a little of it tomorrow. Well It's early and i have the usual sunday laundry to do, so talk to you tomorrow.

I got the moving day blues....

Yes that is right, we moved mother today into her new place, I have posted a picture of some of it, she loves it and I am very happy about it . So I feel now that I have her settled and now I go on with my life . I have to get cleaning this house, all went on stop the past week getting her ready for the move. So tomorrow i am cleaning in the AM and I told her I would come after lunch and see what is left to do, a few pictures and I think that is it. Well I must go i am tired and I need some beauty sleep. everyday ramblings 2

So its Friday!!!! I am so looking forward to this weekend. First lets talk about my art picture, its about hubby tonight, to know him is to love him, he is very clean,and my studio bugs him because it is off limits to him (no cleaning in there only by me and when I say) so he walks by and always says are you going to clean that tonight. Well we moved most of Moms stuff last night, and Saturday we have about 1/2 a load so its just really putting things up and together. She got new rug, all painted, new toliet (the higher ones for the Seniors). She is really excited and so am I, everyone in the bldg seems really nice and friendly, I think she will fit in really nicely. I am going to take some pictures of her place, I know you can all hardly wait to see it. Well I am off to empty the dishwasher. Talk to you tomorrow.

revisiting Tour de France

Reposted my picture, I added some journalling, and some ribbon and that's all there is. Did not post last night, as my many readers know. Went out to the Red Lobster with Mom and a friend. We had a great time, and the food of course was great. I love that place. A little pricey both worth every penny. Tommorw night (thursday, we are moving some of my moms things to her new place, pray it does not rain). The daughter is off on her trip with her friend, and already I miss her. I bought this little tin the other day $2.00, it looks just like the one they keep bandages in. I thought I could fix it up, and put some of ATC (artist trading cards) in there, a good little storage container and decorative.
Well it looks like we are in for a bang up storm so better get some stuff put away outside, hopefully will talk to you tommorw.

Tour de France 1954

Hi, well here is the project it is not quite completed I still have some journalling and some embellishments. Are you wondering why I called it the Tour de France, well here is a little known fact, my family lived in France for 3 years. I was about 1 and my sister we about 3.l The pictures are of us on trips with our Volkswagon which we bought over there, and Xmas in France. They bring back some happy memories for me and I needed to scrapbook them. Well tonight we got my daughter all ready for her trip. Well she got herself ready and I just hung around. So she is off tommorw for 12 days. I know she will be in good hands, some of that time she will be staying with my brother inlaw and newphew. Well i quess that is about it for tonight note the time and I get up at 6:00 for work. Talk to you tomorrow.

BBQ Chicken anyone......

Its another 35 degrees today and its hot.....for a cold climate most of the year we should be enjoying this weather. Today was all about keeping cool and hydrated, we did venture out to the market (local) that is by my house and got some small potatoes to go with the chicken. That chicken was delicious and garden carrotts. Now is that not interesting knowing what I ate for the dinner. I must do more to have a more riveting conversation, things should pick up I am off to work tomorrow. I have been a night owl these past two weeks, I have been staying up past 2:00 just doing nothing, I like the stillness of the house at night, when everyone is asleep and I can read, watch tv , clean up etc. No i am not a nutcase.... Well lets hope tomorrow the blog will read a bit better, so talk to you tomorrow...

This picture is of my deck, white house with blue trim, white deck, west facing backyard , hotter than .... So today reached 33 I think, it was like Vegas here, that dry intense heat, we went out on the deck this morning to read the paper, Mom to have her coffee and it was already hot at 11:00. We did go out a little, I drove past my mothers building, showed her the bus routes etc. We went to the Casino which is just down the road. I lost 20 and she lot 30 then we left. Had a bbq sometimes it even to hot to bbq and here I am. This is exciting isnt it. I did go to walmart to get some pictures of the family reprinted (when we lived in France ) for my art piece. Well tonight I am working on the piece so you might get a glimpse tommorw. Well its early as you can see, but I am not going to go to bed early. You talk to you tomorrow.

Holiday Time just about over...

Yes, that right back to work on Monday, have I enjoyed these two weeks off, the answer is yes. Would I have liked to go somewhere other than Vancouver and home and lay on a beach and not do one think the answer would be yes. But I am happy with what we did do and everyone I got to visit. Am I happy about going back to work, that answer would be no, but a girl has to work for that pay.
Today was hotter than.... and all the weekend is suppose to be . Alright I do have an air conditioned house and I must say I am I love with that Trane on these hot days. I always thought we dont need one, but thank god hubby wasnt listening. Tomorrow hubby is going with a friend to Nascar races, his friend had tickets, now he is really not much of a car nut, but you gotta go once in your life and see it. We (Mother and I are going to just hang out and enjoy the day). Well as you can see it's late again and I need some shut eye and really how interesting is this blog today. So stop reading and I will talk to you tomorrow. Side note that picture was taken in BC I am not sure what mountain that is, but I liked it because the haze was blocking the top it.

Paris under construction.....

This is what i am calling the Paris Project, looks not so great right now, but have faith, still lots to do. Its kinda going to an art gallery theme, with my pictures hanging, i have vision (where have you heard that before).

I also took a picture of my studio working surface lets just say I am not a neat freak when working, it does get clean when I finish working on the piece. Organized chaos. Well still on vacation, still nice weather and just hanging out and enjoying the weather. Hope you are all having great summer weather and you know you can leave comments, I would email you back. Those lazy crazy days of summer....

Today i was lazy, still on vacation, weather is great. I bought this magazine today, that dress form totaly inspired me. I wanted to rush right home and make it. Small problem, no dress form to start with at this house. So am on the move to find a dress form, gonna be looking everywhere. I did clean the house today it needed it, took my time and it all went great, clean house for the weekend.
I did buy this little item at Winners it was on sale, I go in and look at the sale stuff, it is sitting on my kitchen table and looks great. My mother says it needs something in it, but I think it looks fine just as it is. Well it is just about midnight and I guess I best get some sleep, I have been burning the midnight oil on holidays, it is going to kill me to get up at 6:00 on Monday. Talk to you tomorrow....

Do I really look like this....

Today was all about my mother, she went and signed papers for her new place, which she moves into on July 29, 2006,l she is really excited so am I. They just painted it, and she gets new carpet. So we are going shopping tommorw for some new knick knacks her favourite. Tonight was all about me and my art, I was getting antsy not having done anything since I got home from my holidays, so I am crating a visual journal, and here is the first picture, It will be about feelings, or things that prompt me to have an idea, people who really ????? me off,loving feelings, its all about what I feel in pictures and words, someof them you wont see, some you will see. The first one, is done with watercolour, coloured pencils, black felt pens, Some pictures will be full of embellishments what ever I feel like doing. So this is me, this is some of my art, not all of you will like it, or think it is any good. But you know this is for me. Talk to you tommorw...

Old is new....

Hi, well its Saturday and I had a terrific day (since I know I am still on vacation) slept in, shopped, barbequed and cleaned up the studio. I went today and picked up my project (the teapot) from the store, I did not win, but the winning entry totatly deserved it. The picture is a car that my multi-talent brother inlaw has in his shop, for painting, this is without the paint, when done I will post the completed job, it will look great. My daughter is going to Vancouver for about 12 days, first time without mom and dad, she is visiting with my brother inlaw, and then her friend Jasens parents, and then going to Oregan for a few days. I am kinda of nervous but it's time she is at the age and graduated to get out on her own. Well tomorrow the weather is suppose to be good so I will talk to you tomorrow.l

Hanging out...

Just hanging out still on vacation for another week, which I am stoked about. One of my pals just called and wanted to go walking on Sunday, first I said no,(yes i am lazy) but in the end said yes, need the excerise. Today we went around to all the government agencys and signed my mother up for a change of address and that was it. I did not even go down to the studio want to but decided unless full effort is put forth leave it until Saturday, which I am going to do. Have to get back into my routine, summer is hard because it's nice just to be out and about, not done in the studio. But that is my passion so this summer feeling wont last long. Tne picture posted is my mothers place in Vancouver, the movers were moving her out. Well talk to you tomorrow.

Moose on the loose......

I'm back, I had a great time. While driving home from moving my mother we ran into this little guy on the side of the road just having dinner, had to take a photo, actually saw lots of moose, and deer no bears. Well my mother is now living in the same city with me. Actually living with me, till she gets her place. We have her name on a list, so dont know how long it will take, dont care, just glad she is actually in the same city as me, and I dont have that to worry about anymore. Did lots of thinking and planning and sketching well I was away and got some great ideas for my art projects. Can hardly wait to start the flower project, I might start tonight, havent really done any art for over a week, so need to get my creative juices a flowing. Got my car fixed by my brilliant brother in-law and newphew and saved myself a ton of money. Visited with them and my newphews girlfriend and her awesome little boy. I wish they all lived in the same city as me, but I will be going back lots, after all it is my favourite city in Canada.
More pictures to post, one more for tonight, was in Kelowna for a couple of days and here is one from the pier, if you never have been there, go, its beautiful just as nice as any beach city in States and less hectic. Well gotta go do some holiday lundry and relax. Talk to you all tomorrow.

These are a few of my favourite things.....

Do you know what these do!!! They are really a couple of my fabourite things, they make stickers, so heres how it works, you put in say something you have made like a quote , you roll up and it comes out with glue on the otherside and you just put in on your project. I love them, I am saving up for one that does the whole page, these are pricy little items, that I only bought when they went on sale and I have a coupon, because the sticker replacement parts are also pricy, but they are very handy. Well its an early blog and short one tonight, need to get early shut eye for the trip. Will post from the road if i can, So talk to you hopefully tommorw.

My baby was sick.....

My baby is my Honda, I had to take it in today because I just got the brakes done about a month ago, and they seemed to be shimming (I dont even know if that is a word) but they seemed to know what I was talking about at my car place. Any way I dropped it off this morning and they said they need to machine the rotters (whatever they are) they did and did not charge me, yeah. Now the brakes work just fine, just like the day I picked her new. I have never had a new car before, hubby has, but not me, so it was my turn. So In Jan of 2004 I picker her up, two weeks later well parked at a mall, someone pushed a shopping cart into my door and gave me a bump, of course nobody stayed around and owned up to it, I then proceeded to have an accident, my fault, got that fixed, then well checking out colleges for my daughter someone with a trailer hitch on their truck backed into me and of course did not stay around to tell me. Well that still needs to be fixed which I am getting fixed next week by my brother inlaw. Its handy to have someone in the business. So these past two days have not been doing much in the studio, i have selected the paper and I have sketched the layout which i want to accomplish. Its quite the process I dont know how anyone could do it in a hurry. So am going to be away a few days starting Saturday but will post hopefully with some wonderful pictures for to share with you. The Devil wears Prada....

Its a hot summer night here, and whats better than to go to a movie, I just went and saw the Devil Wears Prada and I loved it, it's a laugh out loud movie, it's a bit of fluff and that's what I needed tonight. It's not my normal dark kind of movie, but the daughter and I bonded and went together, the hubby was definitely a no go. The other thing I like to do is have a Tim horton Ice Cap, love them, hate coffee, but love them, no coffee taste, it's not something I would drink daily (to many calories for this girl) but it's a treat when your driving home with the windows down, Jewel on the CD and just enjoying life. God I am poetic tonight, had a rough day at work, really busy and was just happy to do something for me.

Happy Canada Day 1 day late

Well i missed posting yesterday, was busy celebrating Canada Day, went over to friends and had dinner, chatted, had a few coolers, watched football, had a great time. Well I went to the Dollarama and bought myself a new notebook, to become my travel journal, as you can see by the pictures it pretty plain, but after a few stickers, some paper, it getting a little better.
Now you probably wondering what is she going to do with it, well I plan on taking it on the forthcoming trip, I am going to do some sketching, I am going to write stuff that maybe I want to go on the blog so I wont forget, funny things that happen along the way etc. when I get back I will share what I have done. This is the first time I have done this, so we will see if it is a waste of time or not.
