Flower Tales

 

another picture that was painted by me on paper

I am going to frame this one and put it in my house

I loved doing this one, I painted, scrapped, used

old paper, painted over it, mixed colors, and

generally just had some fun,  not caring about the

outcome.  And since I didn't care, it took

a life of its own on and this is what showed up.

 

I have been having some problems with my knee

you know the knee goes first, and its all downhill from there (lol)

anyway went to the dr.  and she says its could be a baker cyst

pressing on the nerve, making the knee unstable.

So on Friday I am having a x-ray, and ultrasound on it

So until then I am suppose to take it easy

I guess that means no housework or at least that's what I told the hubby.

Meet Ruby...,.

time to meet ruby, I have finally finished her or almost

and she's ready to go to a new home

I am really nervous about that

I am giving her as a gift and really what can they say

but oh thanks you shouldn't have

maybe they really are saying, what the hell was she thinking

we will have to bring it out when she visits

I had stamped on there

Stay Strong

and it looked crappy so I ended up repainting over it

ah the beauty of fixing mistakes and have

decided to use paper instead that still has to be done

I plan on giving it this weekend, if I don't chicken out

she has not found one yet she likes

so the search goes on

I had fun making this one

today is a typical fall day

beautiful, leaves out in all there glory

everyone out rakeing them up

because tonight its suppose to SNOW

I know what's that about

but I hear its going to be nice next week

so the snow will probably be all gone

tonight its spinach salad,

homemade chicken soup

and French bread

the hubby is not feeling well

so you know the saying

chicken soup makes anyone feel better

ok maybe you don't know that saying

but its something like that

today I got my flu shot, so bring it on

my crock pot gave up and bought a new one

spent hours trying to get a header on this blog, and as you can see it is not working for me

received my circle journal in the mail,

joined Ihanas 10 postcard challenge, you know how I like those challenges (lol)

working on a special project for a family member more on that later

now I need to walk devil dog

had a great weekend

 today bought a new collage book

I should have just made one

steak, sweet potato and salad for dinner

City Council election for my city is over

my candidate lost by 70,000 votes

I guess I better not pick the lottery numbers anymore

ordered a DVD of Walking you weight off by Leslie somebody

if only it was that easy

going to give it a try

ordered some pens that are suppose to write over anything

we will see

another drawing from my angel booklet

when I went to phoenix, I made a firm decision to
just enjoy the time with my friends.
that meant no taking any art supplies, no journaling just
hanging out and enjoying myself.
I did have to break that rule, I bought myself a cheap
booklet, with lines, and I just sketched, it seems I
have to be doing something with my hands, who knew.
the urge to sketch got the best of me, that's probably
one of the reasons I am an artist. 

I will bloom again.....

I am back and blogging

I must have been blogged out from all of those faces

but I am well rested and ready to go again

had a great time in Phoenix

spent lots of money

bought lots of things

and some even for other people

the weather was amazing

hot, hot  hot while I was there

I think it sprinkled one night late

ate lots of amazing food and now

have to work it off

had a great time with my friends

so now I am back, stepped off the plane

and knew the holiday was over, the

weather was not remotely warm

Well here are the last of the ladies

wanted to post them

because I am going to take a break

don't know if I will be back or not

going to ponder that while on a break

even if I don't come back

I will still be checking my favourites and commenting

I think I have blogged for 6 years

its a coolish day out, making Chili to warm the soul

my neighbour is making me zucchini muffins, such nice neighbours

devil dog is off to the vet, which she will not like

I have received some really great art in the mail the last three days

so going to have make some to send out

Making dinner for the shopper grilled chicken burgers and salad

drinking diet coke but trying to wean my way down to 3 a day

listening to a book on cd by Karen Robards and loving it
listening to songs on my IPod well walking devil dog
finishing up the 29 faces challenge and glad of it
thinking of giving a painted canvas to a friend and wondering she will like it
thinking of what to pack for when I go to Phoenix with my girl friends
getting the house ready for winter
washing all the  winter blankets
getting out the winter jackets and mitts
getting out the winter matts
thinking of painting some pumpkins for the front of the house
bonding with both sets of neighbours
cleaning out the summer clutter
wondering what to cook and freeze for the hubster while gone, so he does not starve
helping out with a friends campaign who is running for Mayor
cooking healthy recipes to help in my quest for healthy eating
thinking about quitting the blog , and pondering they whys and why not's
reading all my favourite blogs and leaving comments
thinking about what to get everyone for Christmas (I know I am nuts)
trying to talk the hubster into going away after Christmas for a trip
shutting[ up  and closeing this post so you can get back to your day

I had fun doing this one, she was a dancer to start with, a free found image

and then I just changed her up with paint, a new dress wings and a gelli

background.

Last day of summer.

 

hey all you bloggers out there how are you this great Saturday last day of summer

are you thinking about fall

I am I like fall, cool nights, cozy fire, leaves changing, where I live the leaves are changing already

Fall usually is short around here near the end of October and 90% of the time we have snow by the time Halloween arrives, or its so cold you always have to wear your boots and coat under your

Halloween costume

If you are a regular reader of the blog you know I go away for about 10 days

with my girl friends to Phoenix , this year we leave on Oct 7 and I cant wait.

One year we went late in November and were Christmas shopping in our shorts, that

felt really weird but nice, no heavy coat to worry about  and tire you out.

 

today I am off  to the stationary store, to the art store, to visit a doggy daycare .  I once in awhile put the devil dog in a daycare for the day, for her to socialize with other pooches.  Mine moved quite far away and I decided it was time for a change so I am looking at other ones.  So far they are more like prisons, then fun.

fifty shades of....

 

do you think she been reading to much fifty shades of grey and wanted a blindfold

when I finished her, I did not like her eyes, but I liked other things about her

hence the blindfold, and yes you would be right to say haven't you done a

blind fold before yes I have, different girl, same problem eyes

 

today was library day, got some new books on tape for the car

I love listening to books on tape as I scoot around the city

its pasta for dinner tonight

When I was a teenager I had a friend named Gail

She had one green eye and one brown eye

I used markers, and neo color crayons on Gail.  and her size

is 4 by 4 I made quite a few 4x4 ladies these the last few days

I wanted to see if I could fill up the space

and a black pen that was

not water proof to get the

inky look

today I am going to tackle the storage room

its a mess and I mean a mess

almost overwhelming
