Money was always tight with Frida ,and Diego was
a cheapskate when it came to Fridas art, ( he always had a jealously streak)
so when she didn't have any money to pay
for someone to model for her , she resorted
to her painting her own self portraits.
The way you did this is great! Poor Frida...thank goodness HB isn't like Diego or I'd be in serious trouble.
