Believe in you......

Today's post and art is all about believing in yourself and your talent. No I don't always believe what I preach. I am the worst offender, I never made art for years because of two things, one I am a perfectionist and when I looked at my art I compared it to others and got discouraged and quit and I always worried about other people opinions of what I do. Now that I am older and supposedly wiser,I make art for ME, I don't care what others think about what I do because I make it for me, and sure its not a Picasso but I don't care. Now my friend the jewellery designer has been doubting herself lately and it surprised me, because of her amazing talent and I thought I guess I am not the only one out there that does that.
Well enough from Dr. Phil tonight, had a great day bought some art supplies (that always makes me happy) had both mothers for dinner. Watched a totaly bad movie in my opinion The Parire Home Companion, picked up the daughter from work and now blogging. Gonna have a sleep in and do some creating in the studio on Sunday. So I think i blog off and talk to you all tommorow.

The Weight of the world....

Well today I went down to the studio to work on my Inspiration album, but ended up making this peice of art, it turned out ok i think. Today I felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders, sometime work just does that, and on top of that your life gets in the way. But now I feel much better. I am in the process of trying to figure out Photoshop I have taken a course at university a few years ago, but did not play with it since then. I am trying to photo montage as a little excerise, its turning out not so great quess I better read the book again. Well tommorow I have to go to take a training course for the whole day (safety) so no work, I dont know whats better no work or the course. Well talk to you tommorw.

Alot if you shop at the dollar store. I got this board board here because I am making a project.Step 1 Get the book from the dollar store: Take all the shiny paper off, it tears off quite easyStep 3: Paint it with Gesso, if no Gesso just sand it fineSept 4: You can do anything you can put on pictures, art, a journal.What am I going to do, I have not decided yet, but will keep you informed. Today was a perfect fall day, cool, windy but nice. I did a totally dumb thing today, I went to the Doctor on the wrong day, I am suppose to go tommorw, did I feel like a goof ball yes, they could not take me anyway, so back I go on the right day. To make it worse I had my mother booked for the appointment after me, she met me there, oh well we both had a good laugh. Well not to much going on around here, I had a very busy day at work so i am going to log off now and talk to you tommorow...

Blogging twice in a night .must be the water....

Feeling much better now, went down to the studio and crated this little peice of art (not my best did it fast and furious but got it all out) cleaned up the studio and thought I would blog again before I go to bed. Well today beside the accident my hubby cleaned all the carpets in the house, they look mighty fine, so that one good job done before winter sets in. Well just wasnted to share my art so talk to you tommorow one more time....

Yep thats right I hit a pole, or backed up and hit a pole, dont ask me how I did it, befause I know that pole is there, everyday I pull out of my mothers back parking lot I think about that pole, but today I hit it. As you know I just got my car fixed in the summer from someone bashing into me in underground parking and driving away it was the truck now this is the bumper and the light, looks like 3000 dollars worth of damage. Am I upset yes, because its my fault but onwards I always say, (thats not exactly what my husband said I cant really print those words). But were over it , it was an accident. Well no art this weekend, maybe tonight, I was helping my daughter clean her closet a massive job but its done, lots for the goodwill, and let me tell you they will be dressing in style for awhile. Its sunday and really not much has happened that made me to happy today so I am going to blog off and try to get into my happy place (the studio) talk to you tommorow I am going to get an estimate so I will let you know the price ........

Great CD....

Love this CD, great music great voice. This is not the picture I wanted to post, but I could not get the scan I wanted to post. Well its Wednesday today as you all know and my favourite show is on at 8:00 Jericho I am hooked, just like Greys Anatomy cant miss it. Got my new Cloth Paper Scissors magazine today and got some much need inspiration, have not felt like doing much, maybe its because its get so dark here so early, but I do have some ideas percolating in my brain so might go down and do something. Have a big meeting tommorw afternoon all afternoon then I am out with the girls to the Creperie at night, am looking forward to that. Other than that I am leading a fairly boring life at the moment so i will sign off for now....

Where the heck was Colin....

This is a picture of my newphew who has moved away for a year and we missed him at Thanksgiving, he is also my webmaster when I encounter problems he helps me fix them, (he still helps remotely, keep up the good work). Well today is the last day of the holiday today I cooked a turkey and it was delicious so now we should have left over for say two weeks (dont you just hate that about turkey he seems never ending. Well other than cooking all day and eating it in five minutes I did not do to much. No art today but I am going down to the Studio when i finish blogging so something might be created or I just might do the ironing. Well enough of this fascinating blog for now ...

Today I would like to give thanks....

< for FAMILY for those present and remember those that are not here with us. Yep its Thanksgiving here in Canada, and its that time to be thankfull for all you have and to remember those and try to help those that have not. Well we had a great day today we went over to the Sister In laws and had a great thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. We had ham, scalloped potatoes, beets from the garden, and Japenses salad and of the course the Pumpkin pie, made by my mother in law. After dinner we played this great game called Catch Phrase, its a great game, for kids or adults. Now I am stuffed and tired, but had to blog cause I have not done it in a few days and I know you probably all wondering where is she. Well my mother came over today and went to dinner with us and is spending the night and tommorw we are having Turkey at my house, so be ready for a picture of Tom. Mot much going on in the studio these past two days, but I have an idea cooking and I feel the itch to create so maybe tommorrow night. Well should hit the hay so talk to you tommorw.

Gone crazy cleaning...

Here is a picture of the cleaned up storage room, I so proud, you should have seen it before I threw everything out. Well tonight I missed my show Grey;s Atonomy as I had to go and get my hair cut, then out for dinner with a friend and my mother for dinner. Just got home, the hubby and daughter went to the hockey game together, a little bonding wont hurt either one of them. Well its Thanksgiving this weekend, usually I cook a turkey and have whoever is here over. But my husbands sister and brother inlaw moved here, so we are off to their new home to have it, I am looking forward to it. Other than that, not doing much this weekend, some art therapy, some shopping,some sleeping, or I mean alot of sleeping, some cooking. My daughter is taking her learners test on Friday, I hope she passes, I told her I did not want to be driving her around when she was 30. Most kids by 18 have their liscence to many people to drive her places, she should have to take the bus for awhile to see how she likes it. Well I am going to bed early tonight, so I should hit the road, talk to you tommorow....

Diamonds are a girls best friend...

Not quite diamonds.. We all bought jewlerry well we were on our Girls Weekend away, we found this bead store(our friend makes jewllery and was on the lookout for beads) and we found this bracellets all slightly different but all for the same case "Breast Cancer so three of us bought one, and the talented designer bought the beads and will make her own. Did not blog last night was very busy cleaning out the storage room, now I took a picture of it, how clean it is but my daughter suggested that nobody would want to see that. So I took all the stuff we did not want anymore to the Goodwill and the heavy stuff my husband took today, so its so clean in there you could sleep there.... (notice of proud, it was alot of work).Tonight my hubby and I went to the local pizza place for dinner, no pizza for me Spagetti, still trying to stay on my diet, so drumroll please or half a drum roll I only lost 1 lb but that is like one pound of butter. Well I did manage to make it down to the studio for a littlw while am working on mini album will have pictures tommorow. Well must hit the hay, still trying to make it to bed early. Are Two heads better than one...

weill i got these two heads the other day at the thrift store, dont ask me what I am going to do with them, but I could not leave the store without them, I might collage them, or paint them, I keep looking at them, something will speak to me and I will know what to do. Today was other beautiful fall day, I am going back to work on Wednesday, I am feeling much better now so I think I am ready to go back,,,,, I went down to the studio tonight and finished a scrapbook page with my daughter in it (halloween about 12 years ago) you could say I am behind...I dont scrapbook in any order just when the mood strikes and the pictures. Other than that I did not do to much more so I wont bore you with the mundane aspects of my life. I did go to the favourite store for a the letter T came out 25 dollars poorer but happy. Well am going to bed got to get back into the mode for work. So talk to you tommorw.

I am woman hear me roar...

Today was a totally great day, I was feeling better today, yesterday i think I had a touch of the flu. Today I just hung around the house and recouped, the weather was fall like and beautiful, all the trees have just about turned and I love the colour. I created art in my studio which is always a bonus and liked it. I actually went down to the studio to clean out our storage room, that did not get done but there always tomorrow. and now my favourite show is on Project Runway.... I can sew but not like that...Well short blog its Sunday and I need to finish watching the show, talk to you all tommorw.

Crocodile Rock...

Yes that's right Elton was here....no not at my house in my city. And did I attend no what would be the reason, the tickets were out of sight...But now here I think why did I not go, I should have just bite the bullet and bought a ticket. I love his music,he rocks on the piano and he puts on quite a show. Oh well I will read the reviews in the paper tommorw and see what I missed. Today my daughter I shopped in one of the funkier neigbourhoods and bought a couple of things. I did order a stamp ( a circle with dots) but the day was great, the weather was perfect. My mother came over for dinner and then we watched two movies, Brokeback Mountain, and the weatherman. I thought she might be shocked with Brokeback (she is 78) but no not a word, in fact she liked the movie. Who knew. Well the movie was on I worked on a halloween layout (my daughter is 17 now) so this was when she was about 5 but it turned out very well, a couple more things left to do and I will post it tommorw. This morning at 9:00 I reached 3000 people who have read my blog. Thanks to everyone who reads this and keep up the good work. Well better hit the hay talk to you tommorw.

Remembering when...

My mother and I today were discussing my sister (if you have been reading this blog my sister at age 55 passed away suddenly in January) we talking about when we lived in Europe and just rembering her. I have been thinking about her every day since her death and wishing she was still here to share my day with. I wrote a poem just after she died and want to share it with you today, I have written many poems but I will share this one:

The sun sits low in the afternoon sky
I am sure I saw an angel flying high\
Was it you just here to say goodbye

I question the reasons why you had to go
We had a plan for when we were old and slow
To sit and watch the rivers ebb and flow

I miss you more each passing day
We will remember you till we are all old and grey

Girls just wanna have fun....

Just wanted to post the art peice I worked on last night. I will write more tonight.Well I am back. Just went away to do some heavy duty cleaning which this house needed, so I did the kitchen, now I am tired so I am taking a break. I made this picture of my friends (I am not in the picture). I though they would get a kick out of it, one said (and I not telling which one) could you not have make us skinner, I just laughed at that. Well today is another beautiful fall day the leaves are coming down fast and furious, so I want to get my camera out on Saturday and take some pictures, so that the plan for Saturday. Hubby is working late tonight, the daughter (unemployed again but that's other story) is going out with her boyfriend and I am all alone to enjoy myself, dont know yet what I am going to do, but it could involve shopping at my favourite store. I am taking a scrapbooking challenge of Ronna Farrs website and its scrapbooking my 5 favourite things, so I was
sitting here thinking what are they: 1. Diet Coke (we all know that) 2. Grey's Anatomy or Dr. House 3. Daniel Powter 4.Art/Photography 5.Blogging. Notice I did not put my friends and family that was just to predicable. So I am going to make this mini album out of a deck of oversized playing cards, so will probably post tommorw the results. all things vulcan...

After a little editing I am showing you the vulcan ears that I purchased in Vulcan, Alberta. I had a blast there, my buddies I think thought I was crazy but they dont love Enterprise like I do.... Well today was a beautiful fall day, really really nice. It was the first day of the big Diet and I totaly stuck to it and did not suffer, one day one 364 more to go....Ha ha. Well have you guys been watching the new shows, I of course have been watching my fav's, House, Grey's Anatomy,Gilmore Girls,Project Runway, all favourites. Well i did not do to much today, i took my mother to her therapy session at the hospital, for her heart and her excerise session other than that, just stayed home. With all this time at home you think i would be down in the studio just creating, but my energy level is down, but I am thinking and writing things down that I want to do. In fact I am going down as soon as I am done here and starting a piece. So talk to you tommorow, and for those of you who read my blog thanks....

Almost 18 and ready to fly....

Made this layout awhile ago, decided to post today. Yep she is almost 18, and they think that once there 18 the world changes...Well she is in for a big disapointment, once you get older, more responsiblity and you wish we were 17 years old again. The young want to get older and older want to get younger. Well today was just a rest and relax day, cleaned the studio, sorted paper, cut paper, and I went to the nutrionist today. Tommorw is the first day of the big diet...Now I am telling the world this ( or the few faithful readers this because I am going to be accountable to you) each Wednesday I will tell you if I have lost or gained. I am thinking about WW again, but I will see how i do on my own, I know that diet like the back of my hand, my Nutrionist gave me one to, so I am going to combine them and see how that goes.... Also today I was listening to one of my old CD from the Movie Hope Floats, this is a great little CD lots of cool, songs, really mellow, really relaxing. Well I am going to hit the hay look at the time and me trying to get to bed early... So I will talk to you all tommorow. And thanks for all the wonderful comments that you all made on my blog, it had totaly made my day....

Crocs Rock

Yep that right we all had crocs for the trip, we all wore them, if you have not got a pair, run right out and get one, they are so light and light on your feet, you feel like you are not wearing any shoes. My mom has a pair and totaly loves them and she is 78, she wanted a black pair, but to late in the season to find any, but I found some in Great Falls and guess what they are going to be a christmas present. Today I went to the Scrapfest and had a blast, I just went to the trade show, spend maybe 3 hours walking around, looking at all the cool stuff, of course bought some, (oh I mean lots, but if my hubby is reading this I bought a few things). Bought the book I was waiting for Scrapbooking with design paper, I already do that but thought I could do it better. I dont scrapbook like a traditional scrapbooker does, I like to add alot more art, sometimes no pictures at all just hand drawn pictures, to get my message across. At first I worried about that, but you know what that's the way I do it and I like it like that. Today was a beautfiul kind of fall day, very nice and sunny. After the scrpfest, came home and basically read my book and did nothing, just relaxed just like the doctor ordered. We rented a movie tonight called Kingdom it was very good, a little hard to get into but good. We had some friends over and laughed and had a good time. Well its 10:30 and I wanted to get to be early so talk to you tommorow...

Lethbridge - The house you grew up in

This is my friend ML house in Lethbridge she grew up in this house, and on our way to Great Falls we stopped by the house and took some pictures, both parents have passed away and so it was a little sad for her to remember . But the house had not changed much and we went around the backalley and the yard was great. Well have not been doing to much since I have been off work, just laying around and relaxing, and I feel a little better. Well the weather here has been cold and rainy , but we are in for a good day tommorw. I am going in the morning to Scrapfest a convention for scrapbookers, I am not registered, but I am going to the trade show, I am so excited.... Then home for the afternooon, that should be enough for me. Well talk to you tommorw and I will let you know how everything was, maybe I can take some photos. ....

Canvas Album complete.....

The picture does not do the album justice, it turned out really well, nice colour, pictures went well, there is a mini album inside the vertical picture. I loved making it, went by fast and I have fun. Well I am off work for a couple of weeks, the doctor recommended it, I am run down and I need to rest and renew. So that is exactly what I am going to do, I have just been feeling crappy lately. They were very nice about it at work. Just a short post today, but wanted to show you the album. Back from the trip and ready to blog...

This little picture was taken in Vulcan, Alberta where they have a tribute to all things Enterprise, now a little tidbit about me, I like the TV show Enterprise, Star Trek etc. So on the trip we made a little stop, took a bunch of stupid pictures of me, with vulcan ears, etc which will never make on this blog, but we had a blast. I also got a tshirt, can't leave there without a tshirt. Well we got back Sunday around 7:00 tired and glad to be home, a long ride home, but we did have a great time, bought alot of clothes, drank, etc and generally just talked and talked, we never run out of things to say to each other. Our friend Lois even bought a Lawn Mower, now I know you saying could she not get that at home cheaper. Nope, this girl knows her lawnmowers and she got a great deal, so she was happy, we were loaded to the rafters , the border did not give us to much trouble, we of course had to pay duty over a 100 each just about, so that gives you a good idea of how much stuff we bought. We all bought this pain relieve medicine called Alieve , but we had to give it up at the border, who knew it was a banned substance in Canada. Well its back into the groove, work and ironing. Tommorow night I go to my
Canvas glass to do my project, which I will bring home photograph and post on my blog, I am really excited. Went to Walmart tonight to get the final pictures and I am ready. Well enough of my excitement, I know you all can hardly contain yourselves, I am going to hit the hay, I am trying my best to get to bed early. Talk to you tommorow.

It's beginning to feel like fall when the

Fall arrangement comes out and the summer one goes into storage. I got these new vase at Michaels on sale for 7.00 it looks like it is really heavy, but light as a feather. Well tommorow night I am off for the trip with the girls, so will not be blogging until Sunday night, so stay tuned for pictures of the trip. I am looking forward to going with my pals, lots of laughs, shopping and just chilling. I need to do that, I am quite tired and I need some new life injected into these tired bones. Well the job did not last to long for the daughter, she is quitting on Friday night, they were not giving her the hours they promised nor the money. She got another job at the Olive Garden for way more money, she needs to save that money for University (half at least)which both hubby and I decided. If we paid it all what would she have to work for.... Well enough philosphy 101 for tonight, I have a ton of stuff to do to get ready for tommorow, packing etc. So I will say goodnight and talk to you on Sunday I should have plenty to say....

what kind of super shopper am I... Those are art pens my friends, I have been looking for these for ages, but way out of my price range, I tried each and every one of them and they work, brand new photo magzs, paint etc. I bought the pens at a thrift shop for $2.00 I was in looking for frames, and I stumbled across them, was I excited or what, thought to myself even if a couple work its worth 2 bucks, but bonus they all work...Well today I took half a day off did some shopping, went out for mussels with my mother for dinner, hubby went to a football game, more shopping and now home just watching fashion rocks on tv and blogging. Got to get the presents for the girls made this weekend that is the goal, gotta to get the some pictures at walmart developed and that is it. Well I know you riveted to this blog with all this exciting information but I am going to go now and I will talk to you tomorrow.

A masterpiece in progress..

Yep, this is what the studio looks like when I am creating, ususally much worse, I think I was in the process of cleaning up when I took this picture. Well a week today I am off on my trip to Great Falls with the gals, am counting the days, just chilling, shopping, and just having a blast. The weather is great here, my daughter got a job for the next year, (when she starts college is taking a year off to work) hubby had a job interview (even when he wasnt looking for a new job) the stars must all be aligned. I am working on the project for the trip, so cant really say to much about it, as the gals read the blog. Work is work, and the sun is still out and shining, all and all a great day. We have no water at present, there was a water break and the water has been off since this morning, so if it is not on in the morning, I am off to the Motherin Laws for a shower.... Cant go to work without a shower....Well gotta go talk to you tommorrow, pray for the water to come back on....

Cruising on a Monday afternoon.....

Yep, thats my friend and me, today we just hung out together, coffee, shopping, it was a beautful day, and had the top down in her car. We had a blast today, I need to make more time for my friends. I wanted to tell about her, she is a very talented jewerly designer, I will have a link to her website soon. Her designs are to die for.... Well were off to the Olive Garden to celebrate our belated aniversary and i am looking forward to it. To nice to do any art today, just thinking, sketching and soaking up some sun.....Talk to you tomorrow. A new bag.....

Well today in the paper they had a 50% coupon good for the long weekend, so off I went to Michaels determined to buy this bag and get 50% off, but alas it was on sale for 33% off they put all there stuff on sale, so you cant use that 50% per, but I am going again Today (Sunday) and looking for something else. I did buy the bag, but you know I could have bought this same bag for 40% off last week, I had that coupon but did not. Now how smart am I!!!!!! Well I was going to the horse races today but it did not work out, so I am going today (sunday) i do like the ponies, never win but still like going. Well as you can see I am up late tonight, working in the studio, making a mess, cleaning up and just chilling. Watched some stupid movie called the Matador (skip it if your going to rent it). Well better go will talk to you tonight.....

2006 Remix

Here is my latest work of art, its about what you have lost and realize it to late. I just finished it, the studio is a mess so it needs a little clean up. The next thing to focus on is the gifts for the girls for the trip. Today I was home I was not feeling to good the past couple of days and needed to stay home and recoup and renew, and I do feel better now. We are going to watch the Matador in a few minutes so this blog will be short, plus it is the long weekend . Our anniversary was yesterday, I was down for the count not feeling great, but we had pizza, and are going out on Sunday night with the family for dinner. So something to look forward to. This is who I want to win, not only is he Canadian but he really can sing. I have always loved music all kinds of music, i think Art and Music go together both creative. I love this show, what talent. If you look past Tommy Lee and his antics it is very interesting tonight at 9:00. Well did not post last night early to bed, I have a killer sore throat today and my sinus are acting up, I quess I am getting a summer cold. Because soon summer is over and here comes fall, usually around here we get snow by October 31, 2006 so I quess we better enjoy the rest of summer and fall. I am posting early because I am going down to the studio to work and while I am working I will watch my show. I am working on piece called REMIX - its a message about the 1970 to today... Well i should go talk to you tommorrow, hopefully with something to show you......

A secret glimpse....

Something is going on with these walls. I am trying to par down and clean off the board, but everytime I go to take something down, I find something else to put up there. Well today is Monday and I got the monday blues but soon will be the long weekend Labour Day and I am looking forward to that. Daughter and I are off to Future Shop to take her MP3 player back, thrid one, lucky I bought warranty on it, they just dont last those little things. Then its donw to the studio i am working on a piece about the 70's I got this cool flyer in the paper from the local ballet company (it had Joni Mitchell big yellow taxi on it) that is going in the art piece. I have been researching the 70's after all I hate to date myself but that was my era....... Well should go talk to you tommorow.... Oh can you beleive it, that sicko didnt kill that little girl Jon Benet, i knew it didnt, maybe he just needed a ride home... I hope they throw the book at him....

Yep that right, I got that and sign, and I love it. Guess how much 1.00 can you believe, my hubbys quote (you got taken) he does not understand the whole & sign. I love it, Winners had it on sale (in red for 12.00) and I found one not there for 1.00. The cabinet I got from my mom, i should have opened it, it is holding all my stamps and some paints.This little beauty I got at the goodwill store for 1.99 i think it is suppose to hold spices but it holds some of my paints. Well today I cleaned up the studio, took some photos we went out for breakfast, and lazed around the day today. So i am off to bed work tommorw, talk to you then....

I saw the movie World Trade Centre...

I went to the movie last week with my daughter and mother, it was very good, Nicolas Cage i am not a fan of but it was not all about him, it was very realistic and you really thought about how it touched not just the people in the building but there family as well. Well its still working pictures are posting. I was going to take a great picture today but got busy and forgot. We are going to watch a movie tonight with Harrison Ford in it, i cant remember what it is called as soon as the football game is over. The Great Falls trip is coming together, the plan is set and I am making the reservations. I am getting so excited..... I love go with my girlfriends away we have a blast. Well today was great nice weather and did not do to much, just did what I wanted to do, I love those days. Well I hear the game is just about over, so will talk to you tomorrow I think with another snap of the studio, with some new items that I have put in it.

Were in business -pictures posted from home

Thank the gods at blogger I can post pictures now from home. Today was a great day...I woke up and felt like taking a vacation, so that just what I did. I did the dont do anything but relax and go to the casino day, did I spend a bundle no. Actually my mother spent her money and I just watched (she won quite alot) so I was happy for her. I just cant justify spending my money and losing it, when I could be buying myself something I want. Other than that it was also a no cooking day (pizza) and a create something day in the studio, just wanted to keep the creative juices flowing, just a little something from my studio, to go into my everyday ramblings album. I like you to meet Freddy a member of the family...

Yep old freddy been with us almost 18 years, I found him yesterday in a wooden box, where I was saving stuff for Lyndsey, I decided whenever she gets married (in years to come) he will be there to take a turn around the dance floor. I remember she could not go anywhere without him, and the times we thought we had lost him, well you would have thought someone was killed. He has had many washes and been sewed many times. Isnt it funny what kids get attached to. Well dinner tonight was great, good company, we talked about the trip details and getting more excited as the days go on. Well again tomorrow is Friday another week is past, the time seems to fly by. Well in keeping with my philospy of trying to go to bed early, i will now sign off and talk to you tomorrow...

Inspiration comes in all sorts of ways.....

Yep this came in the mail yesterday and the colours just jumped out at me and I said wow, that is when my mind races and comes on up something. That is how I find my inspiration. Well it was a funny day today, kinda nice, kinda cloudy, some rain, after work it felt like fall. I am home alone a rare occurence in this hse, hubby is out for a work function, the daughter is out with her girlfiriends, and I am waiting for Super Nova to come on. I love that show, honestly I thought I might be to old to watch it, but I love it, at work we all watch it and talk about who is going to win, am I pulling for the Canadian no, I am pulling for the girl with all the tattoos, she is a great singer and could fit right in with that band. Tommy Lee does disgust me, god who does he think he is with that skinny chest do up your shirt or get some muscles. Now you know how I feel about that. Well in keeping with my getting to bed early, no not now, but SuperNova comes on I think at 9:00 god i hope its not 10.00 I am off to make my lunch and just have a caffeine free diet coke. I am off to Montans restaurant tommorw night with my girlfriends for dinner tommorw night, to will keep you update on how the restaurant is, I have been before and quite liked it. Yes I am finally writing, I posted the picture, but did not have time to write anything. You know the life of a mother, worker, artist, there never seems to be enough time to do anything. A deserted island (with no critters) me and nothing to do sounds good. This is the newphew truthfully he much more goodlooking in person, but he did like the picture. Well I am working on a new piece i am just about finished it, not my usual style very little art, very girls with pinks, when it is done I will post it, got to print a picture and a few more details. It came together to quickly and then I sit there and think, I must have to add more. We are in for a storm tonight, it has been to hot all day long. Today in the mail I got a flyer from Winners and it totally inspired me, the colours the way the pictures were place and the wording, i am going to make a layout out of that, I will post it tommorw for you to see, if you cant inspiration from that. Well got to go i am trying the early to bed to see if it makes a difference in how i am feeling. Well talk to you tommorw...

No pictures today....

Well i was just reading blogger help and it seems I am not the only one having difficulties with uploading pictures. Well its Sunday and was just watching a movie call Bend it Like Beckham about soccer, does anyone in this family watch soccer no, but I liked the movie. Went to the birthday party and I cant even belive I forgot my camera. I was in hurry running late. Well he liked the picture and it made my day, actually everyone liked it. So it seems it was well worth the effort. Tonight I was down in the studio painting a picture frame (small box like a shadow box) it is going to be a christams present. It is never to early to start Christmas shopping, my sister also starts early. Then when it comes, there is no stress. Here I am talking about christmas and its not even the end of August Its mine and hubbys anniversary on the 31 of August we will have been married 34 years. Yes I was a young bride, no I would not want my daughter to marry that young. Speaking of her she is out with her boyfriend of apparently one year tonight, and they are having a special date I guess with all the trimmings. God it would be nice to be young again. Well I should hit the road, I am going to try to go to bed early, I tend to go way to late, and am exhausted in the morning, not to bright eyed at work till at least 11>00. Well talk to you tommorw, I am going to post a picture of my art creation I gave to my newphew.

I have finished the top secret project, I could not say much because its for my newphew and he reads my blog, but he is at a wedding today (it;s his birthday) I did one of my freestyle pictures for him and framed and matted it, actually looks very good. He is getting it tomorrow, his Grandmother is having a little party for him, so I will give it to him then, of course my camera is going with me. Went to Michaels to look for a frame, had to buy a bigger one than I wanted, but bought some leather like paper and matted it with that, will take a picture of the [picture\ framed. Other than that errands all day today, some with my Mother getting her used to the city, and showing her places she could go on the bus. She has been a couple of places on the bus, which is good, she needs to fill independent, I made her business cards (not for business) but put her name and address and phone number and contact numbers on it, just in case while she is out something happens. Well we are having friends over for a movie and dinner (steak tonight on the BBQ) the movie Annapolis so have to go get everything ready. Talk to you tomorrow. Planning a Trip....

Yep your right, the girls and I are going on a road trip. Our annual trip away for 5 days, this time its Great Falls Montana. We are getting excited, the plan is coming together. We all have a blast when we go away, lets see where have we been, we have been to Banff, Canada, a cabin on a lake, now Great Falls, who knows where next year, I vote for Vegas. Well its the weekend, and its looks like we are going to have a thunderstorm, hubby is out cutting the grass. Well I am off to the studio to get some overdue work done, and the daughter as usual has plans. Now still cant get the pictures to upload had to do this one at work, emailed the help desk at blogger and they were no help, so still working on it. Well talk to you tommorw....We are having friends over for dinner and a movie, Annapolis, heard it was good will have to wait till Sunday to hear the review.....

This is how I am feeling today.....

Well It seems i can post at work a picture but not from my house, still working on this problem. I will post pictures from work until this is resolved. I upgraded to a new version of blogger, thought that might solve the problem but to no success. Oh have not posted in a few days working on the problem. This is exactly how I feel today, stressed out and a mess. Dont you ever have those days, I am sure I am not the only one, but the bright side is I am sure I will be much better tomorrow as it if Friday. Am working in my studio on a top secret project wont be able to release it till Monday as it is for Sunday. But I am very happy with the results. Well should go short blog today but the weekend comes with more news. Talk to you tomorrow.

[problems with blogger

encountering problems with blogger uploading pictures. Still working on it, they did maintenace and now I cant upload any pictures, I am sure I will get this figured out soon. Without pictures it seems more boring than usual. So am going to work on it again to see if i can get some to upload. Talk to you tomorrow....

To Blog or not to Blog that is the question...

Men do cook here the proof, my daughters friend was making breakfast for us a couple of Sundays ago and it turned out very well. I have been debating all weekend if I should continue on with this blog. I feel like I blather on like a fool with really not much to say. But the decision I came to was I am continuing (applause please) I really didnt expect alot of people to read what I had to say, and way more that I havd expected 2000 and couting have. Whether they are just passing through or stay and read they have come. I am writing this for me, a type of journal with pictures and sometimes people read it sometimes not. I have a place to show my art without criticism (which I like), While I have decided to give up on the dress piece, it just is not coming together I have put it to the side and moving on. Speaking of I have signed up for a class at my favorite scrapbooking class to make this canvas book, made out of art canvases, with your own black and white photos, it looks so totaly great. When I am done I of course will show it off on the blog. First time I have signed out for a scrapbooking class and am excited (i am stepping out in the world) I got the Dixie chicks new CD I love it, you got to get it their sound has not changed maybe a bit more bluesy but still great. Well you know it, Sunday night, all quiet in my house, hubby went to bed, the daughter out for coffee with friends, and me still have to make my lunch. So will talk to you all again tomorrow.....

Thursday then Friday...

Well its thursday and I am so glad tomorrow is Friday, its raining right now, I hope the weather gets better for the weekend. I have posted a picture of my street due to the fact I dont have anything else today to post. So all i am going to say is dont read anymore, and I talk to you tommorw.

My Thoughts for the day....

I have been thinking about my life lately. I have had a pretty bad eight months, full of tragedy and sadness. I think I am finally turning the corner and life seems just a bit brighter to me. I have been thinking of what makes me happy (besides my family) and trying to find more of what makes me happy. I know a few things that make me happy, creating art just for me bad or good, hanging out with my friends, getting a great book and just reading, taking a great photograph, just sitting back and relaxing without rushing around trying to get everything in my life organized. I need to take more moments for myself and just sit back and breathe and relax. Life is to short to be in a rush, you need to find that point in your life where you just say that's it I am doing this for me and nobody else and you know what that is not selfish that is looking after your self. Now this picture is of my office (or cubby) not my house is not messy (just my desk on a Monday morning after the long weekend, to much work and to little time). I have few things on my desk that make me happy, the diet coke can, some Altoid mints (just when I need a kick) a Scrapbook Fest brochure. So just those little things on my desk make me happy. God I am sappy tonight. What makes you happy, I really would like to know, I dare you to email me back and tell me. Well getting ready to watch my favourite show of the season, Supernova. Shorter Nights....

You know once August hits, it feels like summer is over, the temp are high but not as hot, the nights are getting shorter, and pretty soon the dew will be on the cars in the morning. I know we still have plenty of August left, but I love summer and am not looking forward to Fall. This long weekend was amazing, great weather, did not do to much, just hung out, cleaned the studio, BBQ, sat on the deck, did a bit of shopping. The daughter got home yesterday, had a great time and is now looking forward to another holiday, what about work..... I say.... She is taking a year of school, to save some money, have a break and just generally chill. The picture I have posted was taken in New Westminister on a road that my brother inlaw takes to work everyday. I wish I had such a nice peacfull road to go to work on everyday. Yes the weekend is over and its back to the old salt mines tommorrow, we are crazy busy at work, and have been putting in extra time. Oh well, I like the money. Well I best get my lunch made and hit the hay, so talk to you tommorw.

The long weekend. everyday ramblings

Not a very catchy title but good for today, yes I am posting early, wanted to get some stuff done tonight. The long weekend is here, and the weather is good. We are bbq tonight and just hanging out, not doing to much just enjoying the weather. There might be a football game on I am not sure. The daughter gets back tomorrow night, how good of a mother am I , I thought it was Tuesday. Well I did manage to get this piece done just awhile ago, I felt the urge to create. I was out most of the day, my favourite store had a one day sale on 60% off the sale stuff, so you know where I was. Well must go talk to you tomorrow.

Would I sell my soul to have this......

Yes I would, I long to have this camera. Will it change my life, I am sure it would, the pictures I take with it would certainly win me some national award. This is what I tell myself to justify the cost of this baby. Truthfully it would not make my a better photographer, but I really beleive I could get better pictures. But for now I will make due with my Sony and truthfully I am very happy with it. I know your thinking god is that all she has to write about, but really how boring is my life. It;s already August where is the time going and what have I done all summer long. When you live in a cold climate for most of the year, you gotta make time in the Summer and enjoy it, so that is what I am going to do this long weekend. Just sit back and emjoy the weekend, maybe take in a Festive that I have never been to before, have a couple of coolers on the deck, read art magazines and sleep in. So enough of this, I am sure lyou have completly lost interst by now, so talk to you tomorrow.

Sometimes you just need your friends....

Today was one of them, I have a really crappy day and my 3 closest friends were there for me, making me feel better and boosting my ego, just when I needed it. I think we all need those kind of friends and your very lucky if you find them, so girls if you are reading this I thank you for being my friends. Well enough musy stuff for today, in honor of my pals I made this little arty piece that goes into Everyday Ramblings. Well as you can see I am posting near midnight so I have to get up at 6:00 tomorrow so I should hit the hay (boy am I showing my age with those sayings). Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, talk to you then....
