At first I was not going to participate this week, I didn't know what to do. I went to home depot (got some paint swatches and decided to paint my limited palette on one. The colours did not quite come out as expected but I likesoft colours and bright colours. I enjoy colour it makes me happy....
This picture was done awhile ago when I was stressed and this these are the colours I lean to when stressed and unhappy, greys, dark browns, black. The picture represents how I feel some days when I have to much on my plate.....but now I just take a deep breath and relax and let it all go...
The first piece is soft and soothing...The second one, I can relate to, and it made me giggle!! Love all the RE words on it!! Now all we need to do is REmember!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with patricia... each has a different feeling based on the colors. the bottom one is funny and true!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE your artistic talent, attitude and sense of humour!

ReplyDeleteOh boy! Lee...I L-O-V-E the stressed-out, out of her head piece. You have created such a strong visual metaphor and a very good reminder. thank yoU.
ReplyDeleteI really like the second. I can totally sympathize!
ReplyDeleteI use grey for stress as well.I'm alwasy amazed how relieving it is to paint feelings out. Before I took my expressive painting class I used pastell chalks, now I discovered the wonderful goauche paints they are definitely the ones to paint everything in you, out on paper.
