Studio Friday - Recyle

I believe in the Reduce, Recyle, Reuse method. Dont get me wrong I love paper any type of paper, and I love really good canvas for paintings. But I love to hunt down really different objects for my art, old wood, old books, used baby wipes (used for art purposes ) I love to discover new ways to work old thrown out objects and make people want them again. I love the thrill of making something old new again....so here is mine.....a few objects I cant show you them all the work area not big enought.

  2. I'm with you on that! Recycled / Reused materials often have more character! As well as the concept being a good thing in itself!

  3. I like what you said about making people want the things again after you've worked on them. I'm hoping I can get that result with things. And recycling reduces the cost of experimentation as I learn.

I recently fell in love with watercolor paper - had never used it before, but found some on sale. I'm afraid I may become addicted to it. :)

Fabulous! I love to make journals and using scraps and recycled paper seems to make them more accessible. Words seem to flow easier when writing on this paper. I feel like the crisp, clean pages of a brand new journal don't always "listen" so well.

    Cheers,
    Michelle
