This morning there was a ton of snow. And I decided to help hubby out and go out (since he was at work) and shovel the snow off the sidewalk. Well the daughter (or as I call her the shopper) has a ton of real funky hats (she looks good in hats not inherited from me). So I tried them all 0n and I looked like the escapee from prison. So instead I went outside with my dorky earmuffs. I always wished I could wear a hat. I am always trying them them on when shopping, and the shopper always says I am not meant for hats. I no this is just brilliant conversation for Tuesday....as you can see I dont have much to say. So signing off. Studio pictures today for sure.
never say never!!!! The true trick with hats (and I wear them ALL the time) is attitude. You decide what kind of hat you want to wear; you put it on, then you go out the door. Just GO OUT THE DOOR, and own it. I probably don't look good in every hat I wear, but I FEEL good in every hat I wear, and I want to wear them. And you'll discover women coming up to you saying, 'Oh, you're so cute, I love your hat, you're so BRAVE to wear a hat, I just look awful in them but I love them ...' and you can whisper the Hat Trick in their ears and free them.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I needed to read Toni's reply too. I hate to wear hats. In a previous lifetime thought of adding them to my repertoire but just couldn't find one that "fit". Glad to know I'm not alone.
ReplyDeletelol.... I used to look good in hats any hats when I was young and now.... I look like a pudding face with a hat on top! lol.... never ever wear one except when there is no one here in the garden when its really windy or cold.
ReplyDeleteIt might take a little time but I'm sure you can find a style of hat you like. I can't wear plain knit hats (sock hats) but if the hat has a high crown then it works for me. I agree with Toni....you have to have a little attitude to wear hats!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I like the painting. When I was younger, I did not like to wear hats. Now, I wear them all the time. I don't care or think about how I look in them. I wear them and I'm happy and warm. Now, I have too many hats. They grow on you once you start buying them. ;-)
