Its 1961 where were you...or were you even born
I have been wanting to make this page in my journal, and decided today was the day, I had a blast making it, and could have gone on and on. I love this picture of us, my sister and I. I remember that day, we were getting christened in the Anglican church, my grandmother right from England and Anglican. Since we were always living everywhere else but Vancouver, when we came home on Vacation they had the christening set up, and we had a big party afterward. I think I remember us saying the best part was getting the present from our parents, the bracelets we have on.
Truthfully, I want to remember more, I don't recall much of my childhood. My sister always was the keeper of the memories but now she is gone. My younger sister was not around when we were growing up, and sadly my mom memory is failing. Do you have a best memory of your childhood.

ReplyDeleteLike the idea. Love the picture. My best memory is travelling in our station wagon (all 5 kids) to Nova Scotia and now I am repeating that memory this weekend only this time by plane.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post. And nope... I wasn't around :)
ReplyDeleteSome of my greatest childhood memories include Christmas when the electricity went out for days, but all the family was home, and we just piled around the fireplace and played Risk for hours upon hours.
Lovely pages, Lee! You know...it's hard to explain..but I recently lost a sibling (last year) and until that moment of loss, it's hard to think of your favorite memories...now when you asked this question..and show your sister...memories come flooding into my head..they seem to be all a mass now...I can't single out one over the other..but I want to hang on to them as much as I can. Thanks for posting this!
