The Good bad and the ugly

Happy mothers day to you

Well lets do the Good first"
My mother finally after 6 weeks in the hospital got to go home today
and is finally on the mend, Just like her oldself almost.  A few
days at home and she just like new.

The BAD:
The hubby decided today was the day to do the windows.  As
I was going out the door, I said stay off the ladder and wait
until I come home from the hospital (picking up my
mom to bring her home) and then I will help you.
This was at 10:30 am, well after all I had to
do today I did not get home till 4:30.  I did not even
phone him I was so busy.  So as I walk up the
driveway, I see a trail of blood,.open the garage door
and walk into the garage, blood up to the stairway.
I open the door Devil Dog comes to meet me, not
to happy.  I call out for the handyman.  Go upstairs
there he is his face all bloody, I think his nose is
broken, and he cant walk on his foot its sprained.
Apparently he fell of the ladder, the neighbours had to
call the ambulance.  They checked him over, applied
a few bandages and said he was good to go.  He
will be sore as hell for a few days.

Now the UGLY ME:
He fell off the same ladder two years ago. He is no handy man
I was going to hire someone to clean the windows.  But
know he has to almost kill himself to get the job done,
by the way which is not done.  Now I have two
patients to look after him and my mom.  My
neighbour who called the ambulance two years
ago suggested I hide the ladder.

Well I am glad he is okay, but when he is better he will never
live this down I promise you that.

What interesting things happened to you this weekend.

  2. OMGosh! what an awful thing to happen and your poor dh having such a close call! Ladders are treacherous, someone I knew fell off one when quite high up and had brain damage too. Better hide that ladder where Dh cant find it!!!

Hope he gets better soon! Oh I feel for you!

  3. Oh, no! I'm glad hubby wasn't seriously injured. That could have been a lot worse! I'd say get rid of the ladder!

I'm glad your mom is doing better. One patient on the mend and another one coming along. You definitely have your hands full!

My weekend has been pretty quiet compared to yours!
