Spring has sprung...

well we are finally going to get some spring like weather here, later in the week.  Last week we had a huge snowstorm, (we are not known for snowstorms, we do get snow but we are known for really cold winters)
now everyone is worried that if it melts all at once, we will have huge floods.

Well didn't stay in my PJ's yesterday, the neighbour phoned and I went out with her for some shopping and a late lunch, I really had a good time. Are you waiting for spring to come with eager anticipation, do you plant flowers, I have no green thumb, and don't plant flowers, but I do buy them, hanging baskets and stuff.  Our planting season is usually May long weekend, that is when you usually can plant your garden and flowers.
So since I did not play with that Gelli Plate yesterday I am going to do it today.....What are you doing today?

  4. Desperately waiting for spring, but we're promised to have winter throughout the month at least. Normally the farmers are very busy this time of year, but everything is sort of crazy. Your spring bulbs are great, and I love gardening.

  7. I used to have a green thumb for house plants but not anymore. As for outside plants the weather here is tough on them and I haven't had much luck. I like the bulbs you painted.

Did you play with your gelli plate? Show us what you did.

  8. Lee this looks like spring and is just what I need in all this snow here. Some roads up here are still cut off and I am wondering what will happen when it all melt. I might escape for a bit :)

  9. love your colorful bulbs. I'm desperate for spring but still buried under the weight of the two huge late-season snowstorms we had this month.

  10. Love your bulb picture! I don't do much gardening anymore and I should because it's such good exercise, but Husband is entirely too fond of running his lawnmower too close to the house. He's taken out one-too-many plants, so I gave up. Now I buy lots of flowers for the house! And hanging baskets as it's too high to mow them. I mean, I really "need" flowers" and, as long as I can find room for them in the budget, I'm getting some! (Who says I don't have a backbone!)
