there was a comment left yesterday, about how far I have come as an artist. And you know she is completely right. The other day I was looking at my first ever journal, and I even cringed at it. But you know what I might have cringed but I put it out there, bad or good so I pat myself on my back. I managed to find somewhat of a style along the journey, how much I like color, I think my style might lean towards illustrative. How I like to try all different techniques, did I mention how much I like color (lol). So I want to know do you go back and look at your art from when you first started and see how much you have grown?
Yes, and I keep wanting to change this or that...sometimes, if I haven't sealed the work in, I do change it! Always growing, always changing, always getting better!
ReplyDeleteAnother fab post Lee. Yes I go back, and yes I have become Michelangelo since I first started. lol I look at it as a necessety, it's how I develop. Today I have finished a really good piece of art, so stay tuned. Coming up soon.
ReplyDeleteYes I do, sometimes I look back but I also love it to see the developing process of the other creative blog owners e.g. yours. The birds look great and I love your new blog header!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do. In fact I use my very first art journal as an example in my journal class. Everyone thinks my current pages are so cool so I show them where I started so they see that they can start there, too, and improve over time.
