I luckily bought the small pack, as you see below they are quite dark but once you use all the paint in them they no more use to you.
Now the last picture here is I put the watercolour down and immediately used some water to see what would happen, and it does not look to nice. All and all I would not buy these again.
Now here is my index card with my favourite onion soup in the crock pot recipe
I use this recipe all the time, I love french onion soup, I have some Caesar salad with it and maybe a glass of wine, and your dinner is ready. Just in case you cant read it I am going to type it in, with my comments.\
French Onion Soup In Crock pot
3 medium onions
2 tbsp of flour
5 cup;s of beef broth
1.4 cup of butter or margarine (I use margarine)
1 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of sugar
1/2 cup dry white wine (cheap old wine, if I don't have any I use apple juice, almost tastes the sane
OK, slice the onions very thin
Saute onion in the butter or margarine, cover the pan, keep checking, cook on low, still like there limp and sweating
Uncover and add salt, sugar and cook uncovered 15 more minutes on low, don't burn them, Stir in flour, combine the onion mixture the stock, wine in the slow cooker and cover cook on low 6-8 ours.
When it done I add the cheese and a piece of french loaf on top in the soup bowl and broil it
Then eat it, stays cook in the fridge a few days
Bonn Appetite

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you did this review. I've debated about buying those watercolor paints but now I won't bother.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the onion soup recipe. I know HB would love that.
sounds delish! yum!
ReplyDeleteI love French Onion Soup! I've never made it...it sounds simple. Lately, I've discovered that the cheapie Crayola washable markers work nicely...you can draw with them and/or use water and it give a watercolor effect. I really like what you have been doing on your ICADs!
