A deal's a deal

Sketched last night while watching Hockey, All I used was a pen that was not waterproof and my water brush.  Then decided she needed some colour, and added just a little bit of watercolour. I don't really like hockey but hubby does, so I sketch he watches.  You gotta do what you gotta do.
Well yesterday and today Michael's has a 50% off coupon, and I of course cannot resist, even If i go in there and there is nothing I want, I still had to use the coupon.  That's how they get us suckers in there. But today I am resisting and not going there.  Today i am making cupcakes with the shopper, she is going to a birthday party and she has to bring cupcakes, I will try to resist sampling the icing, but I love icing.  Other than that its a free day to go out and explore, what do you do on a Saturday?

  1. Ah yes those daring coupons always tends to look too good, only problem is when there is a good sale going on at 50% off etc it seems to always happen between pay days for me. :(

Usually on Saturdays I spend much of my time doing a whole house cleaing, (apartment) dusting, mopping, etc then take it out side and clean around the yard, however as long those Bees are out there I won't even go anywhere near the back yard to do the such.

Today I am just waiting for the Owner to come pick up his lost Cat that I had found recently which I have posted over at my blog about that cat.

  2. If my SIL is coming to visit, we try to visit yard sales and/or thrift shops because she doesn't have many of either in her home area.

Since Husband is only working two days a week now, I'm having to reshuffle the days I do almost everything. He's the kind of guy who likes to see that Son and I are busy, so we used to goof off on Friday's because we knew he'd have projects for us to do over the weekend. Aren't we "bad!" Husband is one of those high-energy people who, for example, told me we needed to leave for the grocery store in ten minutes. Well, when we got to the store, I discovered I'd put on my vest inside-out! As Son says, trying to convince Husband, "You can't hurry The Momma!"

  3. you showed some might restraint by not going to Michaels today! last time i had a 50% coupon I bought the enormous bottle of gesso and nothing else and felt very very proud of myself. the clerk said "you must have a LOT of canvases to prep. we almost never sell this size" LOL. I share it with my husband - all the more reason to splurge on the big bottle. I spent all day making postcards. and all night. and all of last night too. I'm on a roll. watch your mailbox!

  7. Those coupons always get me! But many times everything I want to use my 50% off on is already on sale with only 40% off! I think they do that on purpose.

My Saturday was fairly quiet. I tried to stay off the computer because it was "unplug day" but I did forget once during the afternoon!
