As you can see I kinda screwed this one up, I accidently put some kind of pen mark on her face, oh well, art is not perfect, and I have to let go of trying to be perfect, but man its hard. Normally i would not have showed this one, and I probably would have thrown it in the trash. But i am trying to embrace imperfection. I think she needs a few sisters beside her what do you think?
whoa! snaps! I think that this is just beautiful! you are an encyclopedia of good ideas! I love it!
ReplyDeletelee - how did you do this one? do another and show how you did it - at your own convenience of course - PLEASE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteImperfections just add to the art. I love this piece...the background is incredible.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking it a lot! I wouldn't even have thought of the mark on her face as an imperfection but figure it was planned. It works!
ReplyDeletea few sisters would complete the piccy I think and yes, that background is amazing!
ReplyDeleteoh, wow, Lee, I think this piece is SO pretty...I'm glad you kept it and decided to show it. I'm like you: one small imperfection, and I think a piece has to be thrown away. I'm working on embracing those imperfections too. Good for you, because this piece is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI agree that it doesn't look like a mistake. by having some blue on top of her it kind of pushes her to the background a bit, and gives the piece even more depth. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYEAH LEEEEEE! A huge yeah for your braveness to let go of perfection :))) The biggest step you did, naming it! So, go have even MORE FUN :) Plus sometimes those 'accidents' are meant to be :))))
ReplyDeleteAnd YES I LOVE TO DANCE :)))) Smiles, Anke :)
