Question of the day

your probably thinking to yourself, what's on her head,
that is not her hair I assure you
its suppose to be one of the nett things they used to
wear on their hair back in the 40's , needless to
say it did not turn out as I envisioned it.  Here is a question
for you, when you see something in your head, and put
it down on paper, does it turn out the way you saw it?

  1. My Grandmother always used hairnett. She had some with small pearls onto it. To your question, no it never comes out as I see it in my head. Not sure it would have been the same either. Half the fun is to see what happens, I think.

  3. Whether it turned out as you expected or not, I like it...all the colors and patterns look great and I love her face.

I seldom see things in my mind before I create them...I usually start drawing or painting and just see what happens. But when it comes to adding color to a drawing, I can see what I want but can never achieve it.

  5. Sure it does, Lee...all I have to do is alter what I see in my mind to fit what I drew :D

Again your painting is fantastic! Love the colors and her "snood"! Very fashionable~~~

  6. My first thought was also "never", but then I read Jan's comment and laughed! No matter what I've planned, it's always different in some way. And then I fiddle with it forever!

  7. If I start with something in my head it never translates to paper. at all. which is maybe why I rarely start with something in my head. Regardless of your vision, I am totally charmed by your girl.
